Terms of Services

Last updated: Oct 09, 2026

By using SpectrumOutages.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About This Site

SpectrumOutages.com is a free, independent website that collects and displays outage reports from Spectrum customers. There is no charge to use it and no account is required.

We are not Spectrum. We are not owned by, run by, or connected to Charter Communications in any way. The Spectrum name and logo belong to Charter Communications and are used here only to say what the site is about.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

This is the most important part of these terms, so please read it.

Everything on this site comes from members of the public. We do not verify reports. We cannot confirm that someone who submits a report is a Spectrum customer, or that they entered the correct location, service or time.

This means:

  • A page showing no outage does not prove your service is working.
  • A page showing an outage does not prove Spectrum has a fault.
  • Report counts, maps and status labels are estimates, not official confirmations.

Use this site as one signal among several. For anything official about your account or your service, contact Spectrum directly.

Do not rely on this site in an emergency. If you need to call emergency services and your phone is not working, use a mobile phone or a neighbor's phone.

Submitting Reports

When you submit a report, you agree that:

  • The information is true to the best of your knowledge.
  • You are describing a real problem you are actually experiencing.
  • You will not submit false, repeated or automated reports.
  • You will not include anyone's personal information, abusive language, or anything unlawful in the optional details field.

By submitting a report, you give us permission to display it, combine it with other reports, and keep it as part of our outage history. Reports are shown without any name attached.

We may remove any report, and may block access to the site, if we believe these rules have been broken.

Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • Copy, scrape or republish our data in bulk without written permission.
  • Use automated tools to submit reports or overload the site.
  • Try to break into, damage or interfere with the site or its systems.
  • Use the site in a way that breaks any law.

Links to Other Websites

This site links to Spectrum and to other third party websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement.

Advertising

This site is paid for by advertising. Advertisers have no say in what we publish. Nobody pays us to show, hide or delay outage data.

Service Availability

We try to keep the site running at all times, but we do not promise it. The site may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of problems outside our control. We may change, pause or close any part of the site at any time.

Limitation of Liability

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage that results from using this site or relying on anything shown on it. That includes lost time, lost income, missed appointments, or any decision you made based on the outage data here.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of the United States.
